We happened to have dinner in this cute osteria today. It was delicious, the service was very attentive and gave us great tips for the city. Great recommendation !!! ❤️

Very tasty food! Great pizzas. Always seasonal menu in addition to the normal menu and changing lunch menu. Staff always very friendly and very fast. At lunchtime and in the evening you feel good here and can eat and drink delicious! In addition, you can buy drunk wines in the bottle to take away. Top! As long as the Zafferano has existed (a few years) I have been a guest in this restaurant and always enjoy going back and forth satisfied. The Zafferano was always an experience, thanks to original recipes, first-class ingredients, a cozy atmosphere and the service that was really there for the guests and with whom you could always exchange a few personal words. Today I am disappointed for the first time. The Vitello Tonnato was covered over and over with lettuce, which in turn was doused with vinegar oil - only the cook knows what this is doing on a VT. After all, the dish was withdrawn without hesitation and served again without the dressing. Unlike in previous years, however, it only tasted average; The same applies to the wine, which has always been a pleasure here. The waitress - two obviously inexperienced young people - was quite inattentive and limited themselves to clearing the table. Despite empty plates and glasses, we were not asked once whether we would like a dessert, a coffee, etc. Otherwise they didn't show up and other guests had to sit in front of empty tables for a long time. The young man couldn't explain what the dessert was on the menu of the day, so I didn't dare order it. When paying it was said that the EC device was broken and we would like to pay cash or together please. An impressive example of how poor service can ruin a visit to a restaurant. The Zafferano still gets three stars, but especially in memory of the other nice visits with delicious food and pleasant staff. Has the operator changed? Perhaps - the terrifyingly unfriendly, inconsiderate answers to some of the reviews here suggest that, because the operators I knew from previous visits would probably never have allowed themselves such a tone to the guests. I hope my review will not be answered with such a gruff comment, but rather understood as constructive criticism. It would be nice if the Zafferano just had one bad day today and stays the way I knew it until a while ago.

Staff was nice and friendly. The pizza was delicious, the taste could be a little better. But everyone has a slightly different taste and I personally like it very spicy. Unfortunately, I was missing something. On the menu I got the basics such as A brushetta is missing. This could also be due to Corna. I cannot judge that reliably since I ate there for the first time.

Great Italian restaurant with super delicious pasta. Noodles are right! At lunchtime there is always a lunch table that last included noodles. These were exceptionally tasty. The restaurant also serves selected wines, pasta and other delicacies from Italy 👍

An authentical Italian restaurant. One of the best Italian restaurants in Heidelberg. Sardinia is a wonderful island and this restaurant is a very good choice for the ones who want to remember and taste a bit of Sardinia.

In short, great place. The food is very good (at least the pizza I ate). Large selection of wines. The service and the atmosphere are very good. I like to give the full 5 stars, but maybe you can get some comfortable chairs. Otherwise everything is great.

Delicious food in a cozy atmosphere. The waitresses were very friendly and efficient. All dishes were fresh and very tasty. The restaurant was so busy on Saturday evening that we almost did not get any space left. Price performance is great. I would like to come again.

Easily one of the top 3 Italian restaurants in Heidelberg. Excellent antipasti selection plate, very good pizza and pasta dishes. The restaurant is actually Sardinian so it offers local recipes which are all completely worth exploring. Reservation recommended, but not absolutely necessary. Dessert selection could be a bit wider, but nothing of importance.

Here you get really good Italian pizza: thin crispy dough, mozzarella and very tasty tomato sauce! Rarely eaten so well. In addition, the service is very friendly and unobtrusive, the ambience very attractive and suitable and the subsequent cappuccino (homemade from the Siebträgermaschine) was also very delicious! Price does not match with a usual "doner kebab pizza" comparable, but in any case appropriate. If we are in Heidelberg again, we will definitely come back!

The pizza and the risotto were made just like in Italy. Delicious! And the price is worth it. You can taste the quality, and most importantly the love that goes into making a risotto and a pizza.

A cozy Sardinian restaurant with a range of good affordable wine, excellent antipasti platters, and some nice pizza and pasta dishes. I've been often and always receive friendly service. Try the Pizza Sarda, Pizza Vegetariana, Antipasti, Culurgiones, or one of the specials!

Cash-only place with good pasta. I'm not familiar with Sardanian food, but that is what their claim is. I asked the server to show me his favorite item in the menu, and he pointed at the most expensive item. Maybe that is just a cultural thing over there.

Good Pizza, good Pasta, good service.

Maybe the pizza is good, but for the pasta I had there there's no way I can give more than two stars. Even if the atmosphere is nice, the staff is friendly and the wine selection isimpressive, if an italian restaurant can't cook a basic tomato sauce the experience is ruined for me!
